Everything is already ready in the files and working perfectly well. It's just not implemented yet ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/b1Zjh85/bouclierdos.png)

Now short weapons sheaved on the hip. You may have noticed that the dagger is already on the hip. Mostly sure the problem with other weapons is small models (like dwarfs) because even shortsword are all but short. Will try to see how all this work tonight. Personnally what I'd like the most is to see ALL weapons equiped on the model at the same time, including the ranged weapons AND a quiver even if it's not the "active set".

I assume they aren't going with straps since they'll also have to make it work with cloaks too, and straps will clip right through that.
Honestly, I'm not sure how the current weapon position will work with cloaks too - feels like the sword will clip right through it.

Where are weapon sheaths, scabbards and quivers, though?
WHERE, LARIAN?

Y’all know there aren’t gonna be weapon sheaths, just like many if not most games don’t have them.

Right there is a superb chance for Larian to shine and to demonstrate that they are not a bunch of conservative old farts with a herd mentality. And while there at it, they should be able to manage 3D object highlighting, as a beacon of progressive hope.

While I don't like the vanishing shields and am all for shields being shown on the back if equipped, I don't like my character models being too cluttered so personally wouldn't want non-equipped weapons showing. It might work with some combos where light weapons could be shown sheathed at the hip and ranged on the back, but I'm sure would get too messy for my taste with other setups.

Is that what you call cluttered and messy ? It's not free of small visual issues but I'd rather go for this than an assumed-buggy-style that just make items dissapear when you swap your weapon set... As shield that currently dissapear, it is just totally immersion breaking on top of being visually uninterresting. ![[Linked Image from i.ibb.co]](https://i.ibb.co/NxR66Wd/bannerlord-equipment.png) I went with a 2 handed sword to show how it could look like in BG3 because short weapons (including shortbows) are on the hip in Bannerlord.

For me, pics 1 and 3 are okay, but I really dislike 2 (clipping is a pet hate of mine, and I find it more immersion breaking than occasionally appearing/disappearing weapons). Of course, it's a matter of taste and priorities and I'm not going to say anyone else's are wrong, merely what I personally prefer.

For me, pics 1 and 3 are okay - 3 has lots of stuff I realise but the clutter is mainly covered by the shield. But I really dislike 2, which I think is messy and probably impractical (doesn't the quiver get in the way when trying to draw one's sword?), plus clipping is a pet hate of mine and I find it more immersion breaking than occasionally appearing/disappearing weapons. Of course, it's a matter of taste and priorities and I'm not going to say anyone else's are wrong, merely what I personally prefer.

I was sure you would point at that, I put it on purpose to show that it's not entirely perfect (I think it isn't in any games). Keep in mind that the character here is in a static position. His arms are not often like this when you play and they usually have a weapon set in the hand. I guess you already hate some weapons/items (i.e musical instruments) and I think you'll hate cloaks more than anything else
