Hi all, I don't know if it is a bug or a feature working as intended.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but I somehow remember that in previous patches, cutscenes started with a brief and smooth "fade" transition from gameplay to dialogue. I recently installed the game again to try some features of the latest patch and it seems that now cutscenes start abruptly, without any kind of transition.

Am I the only one noticing this? Do I remember incorrectly? In any case, I find the current start of a cutscene to be pretty harsh and I think it can benefit from a light transition from the gameplay.

I don't recall that there used to be a fade. Though that doesn't prove anything given my memory isn't what it was smile.

There have been various graphical changes - not all of them obvious improvements - from patch to patch. And cutscenes in particular do seem a bit glitchy and are often clearly unfinished. Hopefully this is something we'll see polished and improved come August.

They indeed made that intentional change, it was mentioned in the patch 8 notes. I agree that the way it works now is not ideal, but the previous fade timer was too long as well.

Huh! Good recollection both, in that case. I guess if it was there before then there's a decent possibility that it'll be back in new, improved form. Though it looks like it'll be wasted on me smile.

the issue was the fade to black would glitch and leave people in a dark screen so their "fix" was just to drop it

Yoda: That is why you failed.
