I have a steam deck and I'm sure Larian will have controller support in the final release. That said, I've never played DOS2 on the deck, so I don't know how that controller scheme works. Those of you that have played both DOS2 and the BG3 early access on the steam deck, do you think that the controller set up will be similar between the two games? Did y'all find the controller support/UI to work well in DOS2 (on the steam deck)?

Thx!

Console release trailer has been the only look we had at console UI for BG3. I don't think EA had any controller support and the one Stadia had seems different than the one that is to ship in 1.0.

As such, I don't think anyone here has hands on experience with current BG3 gamepad support.

Someone on reddit said they played the Stadia version and had the controller UI and said it was great. Frankly, if it's like DOS2, then you'll be fine. However, it's likely to be much better since Larian said they're going out of their way to support stuff like the Steam Deck so they're likely to make tuned controller schemes specifically for the Deck.

However, I'd imagine the typical controller scheme would work just fine too even if you miss out on some of the Deck's features and buttons. You could always map those yourself. I wouldn't worry.
