Duel wielding Swords Bard with 2 levels of Paladin for smites?

Almost tempting to go 7 Swords Bard, 2 Paladin, and 3 Rogue Thief for 2 off hand attacks and 2 sneak attack die (Finesse weapons).

Roll a Drow who gets to cast Darkness once a day and pick up Blind Fighting as your Paladin fighting style.

Level Minsc 1 Ranger (cuz ya have to), 3 Barbarian (cuz you want to), and 8 Fighter (cuz ya gotta).

Note: To qualify for a new class, you must meet the ability score prerequisites for both your current class and your new one.

This may be a problem for Minsk (He would need 13 Strength, Dex, and Wisdom).

Wyll as Sorlock.

Warlock 3 Chain-lock and Sorcerer 9.

Twin spells and Quickened Eldritch Blasts (6 total at level 11).

7 paladin/3 sword/2 fighter healing and other auras, misty step, smite pushing enimies back into moonbeam.

or 5 paladin 5 sword 2 fighter extra feat/ASi +5 with sacred weapon, higher slots for that action surge smite nova.

half orc 5 Bm Fighter 4 assassin 3 gloom constant surprise round abuse.

Some sort of Cleric/Fighter, to avoid the Paladin mess with Vows.
I likes me a tank with a side dish of healing ...

I'll definitely try Champion branching into the GOO warlock. Improved critical range would work wonders with the mortal reminder feature of GOO warlocks.

I'm similar but I'm wondering how Larian will do the War domain. As I see it the main problem with clerics is the lack of a second attack at L5. Longsword prof can be had by choosing elf or half-elf and the medium armour isn't a big issue.

I'm not a big fan of multi-classing where you take a level of this for that skill and a level of that for this feat. Even dual-classing for something like Fighter-Mage for a Spellsword type character doesn't make much sense to me unless you are going to solo.

War and/or Tempest Domain should get Martial Weapons and Heavy Armour Proficiency at character creation as per PH (in EA Life got Heavy Armour Proficiency per PH).

To some extent the lack of 2nd attack at 5lvl is alleviated by having extra attacks for WIS modifier (War Domain). A pity that these are regained at Long and not Short Rest.

I'm still undecided

Thief / Gloomstalker, max DEX, short swords dual wielder looks powerful combat-wise, plays like an Ace stealthy ambusher type. Good synergy between the two classes.

But will probably stick to pure Thief, i just love passing skill checks a bit more than dishing out max dmg))
