Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General Controller Support on Day 1 (Aug 3) for PC

OK, getting it out of the way now - I realize KB+M is probably far more intuitive for an isometric RPG, but I'm playing this bad bay on the couch in 65" OLED glory in HDR with my feet up, so it begs the question:

Has anyone played or tried the controller support, if not played but heard a confirmation: is it definitely coming on August 3rd?

I can play using my lapdesk and I've got a Corsair wireless KB+M that slots into it, but I just find controller the movement with thumbstick so much more immersive (played some of BGIII in EA in 2020, from what I played it felt like it would work great - maybe even better than DOS2 (the gold standard).

I know during EA Sven and the team mentioned it would be ready for Launch..I'm just hoping the August 3rd leap forward hasn't changed that!

I'm curious how controls will work for split screen multiplayer on PC. One person using M&K, another using a controller?

I’m getting oled envy mines a 55 inch but must admit looking forward to trying it with my ps5..
Also have pc so interested in controller option too

Controller support is 100% confirmed several times through Larian customer support and it will be on right from the start. I'm so happy about this, because I just tried yesterday first time in my life to play DOS 2 with xbox controller and it was pure perfection. I have been all my life a hardcore m+kb old school crpg player and this was the first time of me trying playing crpg with controller and it's way better than I ever imagined.

Mate, DOS2 controller implementation is so good! If BG3 is there or thereabouts, it'll be heaven.
