How do I switch from full-screen to windowed mode playing on Mac?
Alternately, is there any way of switching from full-screen game mode temporarily to desktop and back again? Because otherwise, how could you do any other task, such as opening an email, without fully logging out of the game?

the modes are in game options
as for popping into and out of game while you read emails... yes thats a bad idea for a few reasons with vram dump being the main one
umm yes you 'can do it but expect the game to stop working when you do
