I’m not saying that these characters ARE the Dead Three, but maybe each is a representative of one of these gods?

We have a necromancer for Myrkul.
The guy trying to take Baldur’s Gate with constructs for Bane.
And then there is a creepy lady in the Dark Urge part of the trailer who could be a lieutenant and is connected to Bhaal.

This may be off topic, but im curious. When we approach the goblin strong hold ( the destroyed temple) while on the bridge we get the animation (spoiler)

A lady starts to talk to us about "Her" Chosen

Now at first , {because of all the hype about the absolute being a cult of the dead three.} at first I thought maybe is was shar... but then why would shadowheart dispel it with the artifact.

Typically Chosen are Chosen of a God right?

So what other Female God could it be? Loth?

Any way I'm rambling , I apologize for my butchering of the English language. I didn't excel at language arts.

My far flung theory is that she is the Solar from Throne of Bhaal after taking the Bhaal taint.

Edit: She as in the Absolute

I definitely think that the three lieutenants are representatives of the dead three at this point. I'll also just say that I'm less than thrilled that the female lieutenant is just the "scantily clad sexy psycho" trope. Very original Larian. Bravo.

As I understand the 3 absolute servants are Minthara the Drow, the goblin female who marks you, and the one who try to get information fron the ilicid dead inside the goblin camp (Sorry I dont remeber the names xD).

I wondered why she didn't get a spotlight moment all to herself like the others did... until I saw her. Then I knew Larian wanted to bury her in as quickly as possible. She'll be popular, I'm sure, but I'm guessing Larian didn't want to go through the PR nightmare of explaining the villain's excess sex appeal.

No, Minthara and the others are just pawns. You saw that she is "inferior" to Ketheric as she has to justify in front of him, and the big lady nearby can also dispose of her life anytime she wish. We also saw some kind of strange and dangerous woman with some kind of red half armor, those are probably the three Chosen of the Absolute.

Is Gortash a chosen or just an in-it-for-himself kind of character?

The three chosen are: Ketheric, Gortash, and the new one, Orin I think her name was? But I didn't see the spelling for it; that's just how her name sounded to me.

Watched a video that says you-know-who isn't a full deity since his resurrection and is instead a quasi-divine being walking the realms along with his two friends. Have a feeling we might play a role in that.

My hope is that The Absolute is Moander, and the Chosen are avatars of the Dead Three.

I liked what I saw of Orin, she looked very Evil Dead to me. The sexy allure contrasts with deathly pallor. She seems the most deadly of the 3, and a worthy Bhaalite.

I've pieced together snippets that she's a shapechanger, she targets the party rather than waits in a lair, and it looks like she uses Sarevok's final temple underneath BG. Of course, ultimately just speculation.

Yeah, it's pretty heavily foreshadowed at this point. The Symbol of the absolute is literally their three symbols combined into one. Their lieutennants/chosen are 'an immortal necromancer' (representing Myrkul) a would-be Tyrant (Bane) and a psycho murder-assassin type (Bhaal). Furthermore, all three got cards in the mtg tie-in set, despite only Bhaal being particularly relevant to the events of BG I+II.... which would mean their inclusion is relevant to BG III.

Oh yeah, and that thing about them being conveniently demoted to conveniently-in-the-realm-of-plausibly-killable 'quasi-divine' status. Veeery convenient.
