Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General The Githyanki woman from the new trailer(Vlaakith? Gith?)

During the new trailer shown yesterday we see a scene of a Githyanki(possible player character) going before the image(illusion or projection I suspect) of a large Githyanki woman...I assume that is either Vlaakith the Lich Queen or possibly even Gith herself. Though I admit I don't know how Larian would explain the presence of Gith in the game as she hasn't been heard from in millennia since making the pact with Tiamat and it's uncertain whether she even survived that pact. But Githyanki do not age in the astral planes in D&D so if Gith had been imprisoned or simply agreed to just never leave Tiamat's place there is no reason why she wouldn't still be alive and well. Though if that woman is meant to be Vlaakith she sure didn't seem like a Lich, which really makes me doubt it's Vlaakith. She could also be somebody else entirely but that would be boring lol.

This was not Lae'zel. If you look close enough, it was a custom Githyanki, the hair is different and the face is one of the generics you can pick in character creation. Also, Lae'zel has a rather distinct war paint on her face.

Good spot, I edited the opening post to reflect that. It was a very short bit and I focused my entire attention on the important woman, not so much on the character before her.

Well I assumed it was Lae'zel when I asked this question in another thread. I agree that the big un doesn't look like a lich or even a badass Githyanki queen apart from her size.
Maybe it is just a dream or some sort of religious communication?

She did seem plenty badass and certainly important. Older woman with stern expression on her face, glowing eyes, and the crown on her head too. She definitely seems important if nothing else. She just doesn't look like Lich.

Its Vlaakith ... 100%, not even single doubt on my mind.

I really hope The character was a cleric of Vlaakith and that this means patron deities can interact with clerics too.
