I'm always quitting after reaching Blighted Village - I lost motivation because I don't know where to go. I once reached Goblin Fort and that's all.
Should I defeat goblins that ambush me or should I persuade them to leave me in peace to explore?
Should I fight gnolls that torment deep gnome at windmill or should I persuade them to leave?

Should I explore the swamps before Blighted Village? Or After? When should I explore the swamp?
What's beyond Blighted Village? I once reached Goblin Fort and I felt that I didn't explore well that area. Plus I got attacked suddenly. Is there any other path beyond Blighted Village that doesn't go into Goblin Fort?

What do you mean by 'lost'? Do you mean getting lost in the story? Like having no solid leads on how to progress the tadpole quest? If so, goblin camp is exactly where you can progress it further. You can talk your way into the camp, if you don't like fighting.

you can go in any direction from the village... including down

Luke Skywalker: I don't, I don't believe it.

You can do whatever you want! All of it can work, and I generally just decide based on what I think the character I'm roleplaying I would do.

But in terms of where you can go, as people have said, you can go across the village and exit from the opposite side from the bridge that leads to the druid grove and go to the goblin camp. Or you can turn left and head into some sunlit uplands that aren't what they seem (in that direction you'll find Ethel, who you may have met at the druid grove). Or you can go right and jump over a gap in the broken bridge to find a toll house, a burning inn, and various other things. Or, as Ussnorway says, you can explore the basements and caves under the village.

There's absolutely no pressure at the moment, as you can't finish the game in Early Access and will need to start again once it releases properly, so this is your opportunity to just explore and try things out if you want to!

Since it sounds like you're a bit overwhelmed, I would suggest exploring the area beneath the village if you haven't, and then going over the broken bridge to the tollhouse and everything in that area. It's relatively focused and might help you feel like you have your bearings for a while.

Exactly - overwhelmed. Thing that makes me hard to decide is that I usually just play following a guide - that's simply the only way I seem to finish games. LOL. If I don't follow a guide, I feel lost and pointless in game world. Hope there's guide on release, always miss one.

Level 3 is more than enough to deal with either village or the fort. Try to learn the sneak mechanics, split your party, and start sneaking it one by one. You should be able to think the enemy crowd before they can react in force. And you can of course make friends with goblins if you like those beatiful creatures of Faerun smile

If that's the case, pick any of the quests in your journal and see how far you can take it. And if you aren't high enough level for any particular encounter or you're blocked by EA, pick another quest and follow that.

You can let the journal be the guide

Try doing a search on YouTube for people who are doing BG3 Walk-throughs which you can use as guides to try different approaches for each area

Search term: baldur's gate 3 blighted village playthrough
Search term: baldur's gate 3 blighted village cellar
