I don't know if the mods here are the same as the mods there (Some companies employ the same mods for both forums, like BHVR of Dead By Daylight).

Yes but it's already been up for 13 hours with at least 2 people deciding that they're more important than the entire LGBTQ community, and thus the game should cater to them and shun people they hate.

Do you find this thread to be a threat somehow to this community? I feel like a lot of people write some shit on the internet, but doesn't mean we should deny them the freedom of speech. At least thats the world I live in. I couldn't browse through the whole thing, are there like insults there? Direct insults?

Edit: I am asking because if there are insults there and personal attacks, then I'll report it as well so it be closed sooner.

I'm afraid I don't know who moderates the Steam discussion, but yes there is a report function (which I've just used myself now the post has been pointed out: the post and some of the discussion resulting from it certainly wouldn't be acceptable on these forums).

I'll also see if I can find out for future reference who does moderate there.

Don't even try to interact with the Steam forums community. It is a den of trolls, edgy teens and outrage addicts. Nothing productive has ever emerged from it.

Well, claiming the LGBT community is only 0.01% of the world (Thus implying they are insignificant)
Claiming LGBT conent is 'depravity'.
Demanding LGBT content be off by default (Once again; hinting that people different form them should be treated differently).

That's just in the opening post.

Calling LGBT people 'fundamentally wrong'.
Likening being LGBT to animal-nookie (Which is kinda ironic, given the whole Druid thing).
Likening being LGBT to MAP. (A favorite of bigots; comparing LGBT people to those who like children).

It's fine, there are lots of people pushing back. I am giving them all awards. What you find is that these bigots are:
1) a minority of people
2) Not very bright (that's being generous - they are the dumbest people honestly - this has been studied)
3) Insecure as hell

Studies have shown that they are societies "losers" both socially and economically and so they tend to lash out at other groups they perceive as more successful or having more support.

This is what happens when you stay in a bubble and don't read. So sad.

i'm against censorship in any form and think the Steam mods are correct to let it stand

the op of that thread is quote [seasoned game developer and coder] end-quote to which i call bullshit but the thread has a strong voice pointing out that this rubbish isn't okey... we have a few of the same posts on Gog forum which got the same answers and i wouldn't remove those threads either

Salo tells me that there are specific Steam moderators, but she's dealing with it. In fact, I think she might already have done so as the link above no longer works for me.

So I'd suggest we don't discuss further here either.

Yeah, maybe, but thing is: the idea is getting belittled but there are people behind the idea and actually the idea IS people, so I classify this as personal attacks. But lets not stir it here at least, not really interested in discussing the topic myself.
