Part of my wish here is for a "True to Tabletop" Mode:
-As close to core rules as possible (Like having rules lawyer DM) -Autosaving over a single file and no reloading or manual saves (Like in tabletop, no saying "That didn't happen," or "Let me reroll that.") -Limited Inspiration Rerolls
Remember the human (This is a forum for a video game):
I wouldn't play a genuine ironman mode ("If you die your save gets wiped and that's it") because it strikes me as complete masochism in a150+ hours game where at any point you could die even just for a glitch...
BUT
I would be absolutely on board for a "Single save mode" that autosaved everything on a single slot and forced you to roll with whatever happened IF it came with some sort of checkpoint system allowing you to "roll back" a bit and reload from there in case of death (i.e in case of death/party wipe you'd restart from the last long rest).
For what is worth I completed XCOM 2 + WOTC in ironman several times, but I think that's a very different type of game.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN
