Did anyone notice this on the banner, or am I missing something? Why did everyone suddenly turn elderly? Another Larian inside joke I guess.

I'm not sure about everyone, but Gale and Wyll's models certainly seemed to be aged up in a later patch (8 or 9 I think). Which I personally am all in favour of!

Is that what elderly is?

WHat I found much more confusing: Why is Astarion in the center? And where is my girl Karlach?
The rest I would say is due to the lighting. I don't think, that they look old.

I really don't see any significant change in how old they look between that banner and what we have ingame, any difference you notice might be a result of this being artwork and not in-engine.

I think it's just a lighting effect. It sure makes Shadowheart's hair look far more gray and even Lae'zel's a bit. But I don't think it was done on purpose to make them look older.

I have heard they released this before officially announcing she was an origin character/companion. All I know is that I want a cover with her on it.

Thanks for posting this, The day the new banner went live I noticed and wanted to post.. but became caught up in everything else.

I personally think Astarion is a completely different model. I like this one better.

Shadowheart, the change is not as extreme IMO as Astarion but she to looks very different, on the fence with this one. I do like it

It makes sense for Gale to be a bit older since he was a really powerful wizard who got nerfed by Mystra back to level 1. It wouldn't make sense for a guy in his late 20's or early 30's to achieve that level of mastery.
