Hi all,

Just wondering if there has been any news on how the PS5 version will look graphically as compared to PC.

I currently don't own a decent PC so am looking at picking this up on PS5 but am waiting as I won't bother if it looks too inferior.

Have not been able to find any info on this other than they are aiming for 60fps. More interested in how it will look, textures, fidelity, effect etc as opposed to performance as it is not a twitch shooter.

I realise it is likely irrelevant to most here who I assume are playing on PC.

Thanks in advance for any info. wink

What PC? It will probably look better than on some PC, but less hi-Rez than some high end ones, with graphic cards more expensive than the entirety of PS5.

The trailer footage seemed fine, and I assume it was captured on PS5:

It will release on a later date, so it is prudent to wait for PS5 specific reviews before buying.

Thanks, I saw that trailer was just hoping for some more/updated info.

Yep that's what I will be doing I guess. Will wait and see how it looks before taking the leap.

Just a bit disconcerting that they haven't shown much regarding the PS5 version.

Makes me wonder if it's not looking so sharp. Hope that is not the case. I guess I'll wait and see.

you can expect the PS5 to more or less rendor as a PC on med settings... the difference is how fast it builds up the world so if looking at your Tav floating in mid air for a few frames or combat dropps to 50fps is going to bug the shit of you then a new PC is your better option

But on an oled tv the ps5 will look awesome 😎….I’ve watched some of the 4k YouTube clips on mine and even they look unreal …so given this isn’t a fps title less frames but on a decent tv with your ps5 will be fine.
No I’m not a Sony fan boy I have ps5 and a gaming pc I’ll be playing on both rather than dropping $2000 on an oled ultrawide …well maybe but divorce is a high price even for bg3 😉

@Ussnorway Just curious but why do you think med setting as opposed to say high or ultra?

I am hoping there is a quality mode option for ps5 with a locked 30fps option with better textures, lighting, effects, character models etc.

Again will wait and see I guess.

@Tarorn Yes a new OLED TV would be nice but for the same price I could get a new PC so might just stick with my current 65" 4K TV. It is a few years old but still more than adequate.

I agree happy wife happy life after all wink

Thanks for the replies.

True that ! - either will work my main point is ps5 is a beast and it’s capable of truly sublime graphics as is a high end pc

a high end Gcard costs a lot but will be twice the power of a PS5 for graphics setting... when Larian talks about frame rates they mean the vids and others have already pointed out the need for a better TV

a playstation matches up to a good laptop or average Pc... true gaming rigs cost $

in this current climate of bullshit Gpu prices a PS is actually a good investment if the games you want are there... the biggest downside is waiting for it to sync the network everytime you turn it on but if we just look at THIS game then you are fine
