So I recently removed the beloved potato from my menu because it spikes my glucose levels (which I have to watch).

Then lo and behold I discovered the turnip.

Roasted, mashed, or into the deep fryer: Turnip French Fries.

Are you on whole 30? OMAD?

That's how I stay svelte in my old age. It takes some getting used to. Potatoes are a huge problem because they are so high energy and carb they convert to fat too easily. Turnips are much better for you. If you can stomach them. They take some getting used to.

They are very good roasted and can be easily mistaken for potatoes.

I have a french fry cutter, and they come out very good if you double fry, increasing the temperature on the second drop.

Tou don't need a deep fryer

Note: I make my own keto flour.

I am still experimenting, but mainly oats mixed with almond and peanut.

Oh gosh, I remember trying zucchini fries and they weren't half bad, maybe I'll fight my Jansen-phobia and look into turnips as well since you make them sound so appealing wyllhappy

OMAD (One meal a day) No, two works better for me.

My lunch break at work was 10:15 am which is perfect to fuel the day.

I swim in the evening, so an early evening meal is a perfect refueling time.

That's smart, its mainly important to listen to your body because everyone is different. I do OMAD and Whole 30 and run early in the morning, lift at night.
