Light armor proficiency seems pretty mediocre. Maybe the itemization will convince me otherwise post August 3 but... Mage armor is equivalent to studded leather +1, and any class that doesn't already have light armor proficiency probably does have a way to obtain mage armor.
Persuasion proficiency on the other hand might be useful in some cases. It would allow a human warlock to get proficiency in all of the talky skills without taking beguiling influences (and if you are human you NEED that second level two invocation for devil sight anyway).
Still not a good loadout for humans. No reason to pick them aside from aesthetics.
Yeah they really scr..ed over Humans, Dwarves and Half elves with the recent controversial change to ability scores. Heck Tasha itself was highly controversial for D&D 5E, and it still is believe me.
With this current change in play Ill only play BG 3 races that can mirror PHB ability score bonuses, until either Larian comes to their senses, or someone makes a mod to fix that ill advised change.
To Larian: You already have the PHB system in place, you had in in EA, at least add it as an option, or better yet, make the new system and option (as it is in 5E).
PS: Also add deity choice for Paladin, copy Cleric deity choice to Paladin, add none as option, problem fixed, voila!. They need, and should have one. And Lorewise most are dedicated to one (Scag).
