Hello Devs,
Please enable the predownload of the game before the release date.
This is a huge game to download, and by release, all servers will handle too much data.

Please let us pre-download most of the libraries and content before release, so at the release day, no major Issues happen.
Considering that some people nerves are not in their best state, specially after waiting for 20+ years, would be nice to not have troubles downloading the game together with 13417249 million people, all at the same time.

+1. Completely agree, this would really help if at all possible like 24 hrs in advance. So as to ease downloads and on server crashes.

Yes, *THIS* was pretty much the sweetest thing about the 3 day advance play for EA that go wiped into mass release.

Yes, please. My 60mbps internet (in reality it jumps between 30-45...) will take forever to download this as I assume th EA files will get wiped and we'll need a fresh download and install come 3rd galeworried

And Steam absolutely clogs up the entire household wi-fi when it's downloading anything.

Steam doesn't allow preloads of Early Access games. Instead it will be released as an update.

That I am not certain about. Probably not. The issue with EA and preloading is that to allow preloads they have to make it so no-one can play it which can potentially piss off a bunch of people. GOG gives the ability to download the game outside the launcher but it still would probably be dificult and prone to create problems to accommodate those who want to preload and those who want to play until launch

Ok. So will play in several days after release, my inet connection is not so good, 150 gb is a lot.

Steam allows to tag releases as preload, it is as simple as some clicks in an admin panel. I don't see a world were Larian ignore it.

A couple of things to remember. First, just because Larian says you need 150 GB free space doesn't mean that the game requires a 150 GB download. The free space to install will include room for temp files, space to uncompress archives, and potentially the drive's working space.

Second. The EA install may also count as a partial preload as it likely contains many of the necessary textures and other files. That could easily save tens of GB on the download.

Even if the EA "may" count as a partial preload, there are still about 80gb worth of assets needed to be downloaded.
A pre-download beginning on the 1st of August would be the best option to take most of the server's load.

Would be nice also to have a Dev looking into this topic, and giving us a feedback about this. Specially a positive feedback agreeing to the pre-download.
