There is so many choices and combinations of classes to mix , what is your first character going to be ?

As for me i have 3 in mind Either 10 lvls of moon druid /1 lvl of monk or barbarian, but leaning monk / 1 lvl of war cleric. This combo gives wild shape stronger AC with unarmored defense and a bonus action attack with war cleric.. also gives divine favor which helps for more damage in forms since it blesses you and your damage you don't need to waste a bonus action to move it, and all weapon proficiencies. Also since natural weapons are deemed a weapon attack by Jeremy Crawford it should work. The reason why not decided on monk or barbarian is , with barbarian i can add rage to forms , and can use a shield with it out of forms. The downside is dependent as far how strong the unarmored defense is due to the form taken and its stats. Monk doesn't have the problem with reliability as much since mental stats from a character are the same in wild shape. It also will be better if larion with one of its poetic licensing changes deems natural weapons as an unarmed strike.

The second idea I thought of going is 11 lvls of hunter ranger for volley, and 1 lvl in war cleric. This is for for the bonus action /divine favor ... divine favor would be very strong with hunter ranger's volley action, and cleric also gives healing word.

Third idea is kinda dependant that spells that are supposed to be in the player's handbook will be added at launch, but the idea is thus: 5 lvls of totem barbarian / 4 lvls of Thief rogue /3 lvls of war cleric. This gives the divine favor when rage charges are done and spiritual weapon spells. While spiritual weapon won't benefit from rage, it can be up cast to do a lot more damage then what i would gain using a strength weapon with rage, and since movement is part of the bonus action , having 2 bonus actions from thief rogue would let it move twice. Also early on the bonus attack from war cleric will be helpful early. The nice thing about spiritual weapon is also it doesn't require concentration so still works with rage if cast before you rage.

If spiritual weapon isn't in game at launch the last build would then i would simply remove 2 lvls of war cleric and instead go : 6 lvls totem barbarian to get second totem animal/5 lvls thief rogue to get better sneak attack(3d6) and uncanny dodge/ 1lvl war cleric just to gain the ability to use a rapier as a bonus attack ... twice. uncanny dodge and rage's resistance stack reducing damage from 1 source by 3/4 its original damage ( half damage + half damage =1/4.)

Hey there! There is already a big thread focused around exactly the same topic. You can find it here.

I am considering a lot of stuff and I haven't fully made up my mind but probably Dark Urge Rogue is what I am thinking right now. I wanted to do something like Dark Urge Warlock but no, I think being a Rogue is basically mandatory for the Dark Urge because of the obvious god he is related to. I used to think that maybe being a rogue isn't that big of a deal for the Dark Urge and could get away with playing another class but no, I don't think it can be justified. We know of the first item that we get from the Dark Urge origin and it's an insanely powerful cape. You could technically use it as another class but let's just say that it's for rogues and I absolutely expect all the other rewards and perks of the Dark Urge origin to be for rogues too.
