It's been a little bit since I last played EA, but if I recall, there was mention that in x days the druids were going to seal off the grove. This made me super hesitant to ever long rest in the game because I didn't want that to happen. But I was nowhere near strong enough to tackle the goblins at that point. I also think I'm missing camping interactions because I'm so loathe to long rest.

Do I need to pay attention to a time limit and not long rest so that the ritual doesn't complete?

Thx!

Or you just do the Investigate Kagha Questline first and then visit the Goblin Camp later on. I think as long as you haven't talked to Minthara yet, everything should be fine, completely independent of LRs.

This is correct, the Ritual only completes if you do Khaga's quest and get rid of the Tieflings, or you steal the Idol and instigate a fight between Druids and Tieflings (which the druids will win unless you intervene).

Either way the Tieflings have to be gone. Apparently there are not enough Goodberries for everybody. *rolls eyes*

Honestly, Druids complaining about not being able to supply enough food when they have the most OP level 1 tactical spell in the game. You can sustain yourself on a single Goodberry per day per person.

P.s. You don't want that ritual to complete, it's a REALLY bad outcome.

This is good to know that I was remembering a time limit wrong. (I swore I heard a timeline for it to complete from a halfling merchant in the grove. )

Anyway, it's good to know that I don't have to hamstring my characters so bad by not doing long rests. I was really worried that after a few days, (even if I avoided doing the things that are triggers) the ritual would complete anyway. So in EA, I was almost frantic to figure out how to rescue Halsin and take out the goblins despite having little to no rest and not being leveled up enough.

Ah yes, I agree.

All the triggers are location based - if you go to Waukeens rest but don't get involved, by the next Long rest it will be resolved without your help (in a bad way).

The Halsin quest doesn't resolve until you defeat the Druids/Tieflings or the Goblins or enter Halsin's prison to rescue him.

It's - I think - a better system than arbitrary time limits. I think Larian wants people to take their time and not feel too rushed. There is so much to explore in this crazy game.

Well yes, the excuse that they dont have supplies for the Tieflings is complete BS from a spell/ability standpoint, never thought of that before actually.

That being said, Kagha has an agenda wink wink" which is the real reason. Not gonna spoil it for anyone who hasnt played EA.

Thats just official reasoning ...

Quite honestly, i cant say i blame Kagha ...

Tieflings arent exactly "respectfull visitors" for one. :-/
Zevlor himself admited, the attacks are getting more and more common ... and they started after their arival ... for two. :-/
And as we all know, Kagha have her own agenda and aspirations. :-/

Tieflings are just in her way and so she uses any argument she can to strenghten her own position.

And why do i think that? Easy ...
As we "redeem" Kagha (and by redeem i mean, we persuate her that take full responsibility and expense over group of thieves, charlatans, beggars, backstabers and useless pacifists with target on their back ... is good idea) nobody ever aggain mentions that there is any supply problem. smile

Indeed ...
But are those his words, or is he just repeating Kagha who claims that "mine people will perish if they stay"? smile

And again ... remember, nobody mentions it afterwards.
