the first question is;
did you install the game to this new PC or just copy/ paste the folder over?
if you just copied everything then the odds are this new PC has a different Gpu, monitor or screen res to the other one and that will cause it to crash because its trying to set options that don't make any sense
since you are using Gog the next important question is;
did you make a Larian account and sync that to your Gog account?
understand that a Larian account [for gaming] and a Larian account [for this forum] are not the same thing... although it is possible to have them both as the same email address and probably a good idea
if you have a Larian account [game] and you copy pasted the files then that includes a small file with your account and settings... the Larian launcher needs to be signed into again but you can use your Gog account user name and password there anyway i'll assume the answer is yes you do/ did
1 open Gog Galaxy - goto the BG3 game and hit run... this should open the Larian Launcher
2 wait for the Launcher to sync across your network [let it through any firewalls] top left will say Gog and on the top right there will be a small green dot next to the "my account"
2A if you don't have that then open the "my account" tab and press the "account" option under it/ not log off!... when you press account it should open your default web browser and goto Larians sign on page with their help --- on the left where is has login, scroll down and there should be a Steam and Gog icon, pressing Gog takes you to the Gog account sync i.e, sign in as you would for Gog and of course Steam players press the Steam
ok untick the check Gpu drivers , change rendor type to DX11 [you can put it back after] and boot into the actual game and then into options and graphics
1 is this a signle montor sytem i.e, you don't have it set to cast to a TV or split across two montiors and it is just using the default screen?
2 the top like[display 1] should show your main Gpu, not intergrated graphics, the Resolution should be the same as what ever you have for your normal desk top display on this system so if your desktop is set to 1920X1080 then the game screen needs to say that as well... for a laptop Fake fullscreen is your best choice... if any of these setting are different then change them and hit apply
if the game doesn't crash your permissions are working... goto overall presets and press auto detect then change it to medium after it does its thing and press apply again
change / untick the cross saves option and apply before testing the game will start a new save game or load a save game
p.s, the point of all these setting checks and applies is these new settings get saved to that small file that tracks your system options i.e, the new pc settings not the old one... if it all worked then you can now try going back to Vulkan instead of DX11 as well [good luck]
