Anyone else absolutely hate that your character puts their shield on their back and it just disappears?

To me Shields are as treasured an item as a weapon or armor and I would love to have it shown at all times on my character. Not just during battle.

Does this bother anyone else? Can we get shields to be shown during walking around like weapons do? Pretty please?

Dragon Age Origins showed shields on characters' backs 15 years ago. I think it's a reasonable request.

Also Quivers are missing for bows. Shouldn't be that difficult for a game with BG3's budget.

One handed weapons should go on your belt and heavy two handed weapons could just stay in your hand most of the time, save for climbing etc. I find myself constantly drawing weapons while exploring in BG3 so they don't mysteriously vanish or look silly. It would be great to see Bow + Quiver on your back while holding a Glaive. Putting the Glaive on your back while using Bow would be understandable though. Glaive + Quiver I mean. =)

Special mention to Short Sword + Dagger combo where sword goes on your back and dagger on your belt for a really weird draw.

Wizards look great when you carry a staff in your hand instead of back. I wish that was default.

While we're on the topic of displaying both equipped weapons - please remove the arbitrary restriction of having only melee + ranged weapons equipped. Some of my characters want two melee slots. They have no Dex and blunt damage is certainly a thing in BG3. Some want melee + Javelins, which should also be visible on your back. Why are bows forced like this? And why only two equip slots? BG1&2 had more for martial classes. Quick Draw feats could exist to give you more.

Considering it has been an ask since early EA, I wouldn't count on it :v) But yes, sheaths and such in general would be nice, tbh.

There's a mod out there for this already, but yes, it would be better if Larian had it in their base game. https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/492?tab=description

Kinda unbelievable this is even left out. Can't they just have the character keep holding it in their hand at least? Looks lame it just disappears while the weapons get strapped on their backs.

I don't even think I can used Mods. I'm playing on on a MAC on Steam o Nvidea GeForce now. Would the mod even work here?

I just wish they could handle it the way Wrath of the Righteous does: All equipped weapons are displayed on your character model. Admittedly, those are simpler models so it's probably much easier for Owlcat to do with their game, but it is what I had hoped for with this one.

Multi-color hair and bear sex content seems to be more important than how your character looks with all their weapons?

It just reminded me of the bowl of goat's milk that old Winthrop used to put outside his door every evening for the dust demons. He said the dust demons could never resist goat's milk, and that they would always drink themselves into a stupor and then be too tired to enter his room..

And while we're on the topic of shields, can we put Bonus Action Shove back with Shield Master? No one will pick SM just for the Dex save buff. The BA Shove is perfect as a unique Shield Master perk which fits the fighting style perfectly. Yes, that means removing BA Shove from everyone else. And it would be a better game for that. You could also make a Shield Bash BA that would be Shove +1d4 damage, but then you would make two weapon fighting look bad. So rather the first option.
