Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General PC/PS5 Cross-platform Multiplayer?

Wondering if this will be a feature in the game when it launches on PS5. My friends generally play games on PC and myself on PS5, so it would be super cool to play together at launch. I saw cross-save is confirmed, but I’ve seen conflicting info about multiplayer. Is there any official word on this?

Cross-saves? Nice. I was thinking of picking up BG3 on PS5 when it gets released because my PC can't really run it as well as I would like. No mods on PS5 though.

I admit I haven't played too many games that were crossplay between consoles and PC so my question might come off as ignorant or uninformed.

Anyway how would crossplay work if the player on PC has a lot of mods? Like ones that bring extra spells or differences in appearance?

Is there still no crossplay with PC/PS5?

unfortunately it seems Larian is not being honest, or at least transparent about cross saves.

just bought the game on PS5 for early access and can confirm: no cross save between PC and PS5. you login with your Larian account and the only option available is New Game.

proceed with caution if this is a feature you want - like I did.

Cross save is working just fine.

Log into your Larian account on PS5, then go to options > gameplay and look for the option to enable cross save. Once that was enabled, load game and continue popped up after like 1 minute.

For those who tried this, how does the game manage trophies for events that happened while playing on PC? Do they unlock on PS5 after logging in?
