Have any of you joined with the goblins at the start when you come up to the gate and they attack?

If so, what results did you get or did it actually break the game, as it did for me?

What do you mean by: break the game?

As far as I know Globlin's are tagged as enemies, as such you can't side with them - you can attack the defenders of course, but that's just would mean making the other side hostile as well.

I never attacked the goblins and just killed everyone in the camp including the druids using broken stealth while just solo with a Ranger. When I got to Mithara she went on and on as if the druids were still a thing. Looks like Larian didn't think about it. Was wondering if anyone else has done anything like it.

Yes I was bored and was just messing about.

Anyone checksd if you can get to the goblin camp with out triggering the first grove scene? I think you cant ? Wonder if it would be possible to not kill the first pack of goblins

You can't, the scene triggers if you bypass the gate, just without you as a participant. I tried to long jump, thats how I found out. Grove is meant to be a tutorial area same as a nautiloid. It introduces vendors and the general feel of 'safe harbors' in the game.

I tried every thing I could think of to get around that fight without starting it. I had hoped that Mithara or any other goblins for that matter would have known about the dead npcs before I spoke to them, but going in and killing everyone breaks the storyline as far as I can tell. So in order for things to make sense you have to play along, and I imagine it probably can be broken anywhere in the story the same way. So if you're going to play evil and just start killing the game might not work too well.

Not that I play that way, I love the rpg and storylines. After finishing the first act I was curious what Mithara would do if the druids were all dead before you get to her. I was surprised that Larian had not included that path. A lot of time can pass before you get to her and their are reasons to kill those druids and wipe out that camp anyways.

Hopefully Larian has fixed this plot hole before it releases.

the game has been locked for release so they are not changing anything before the release.
