Hi everyone

I'll get right to the point.
Before the attack of opportunity the opponent has a dynamic arrow pointing to our cursor. Change the cursor position — the direction of the arrow changes too. But unfortunately the animation of the enemies does not change.

Also, when surrounded by the enemies, the arrow is often not quite visible, also not visible due irregularities of the landscape or due of some effects on terrain (blood for example).

My suggestion is to make additional animations for enemies indicating the danger of an attack of opportunity. The simplest solution is to let the enemy turn the same way as the arrow, tracking our mouse cursor. The most correct solution is to make additional animations demonstrating a clear threat from our opponent. Let the enemies change their threat animations folowed for attack of opportunity pointer. For example, a hyena stands on its hind legs, a minotaur brings his axe up, a swordsman threatens with a sword. Something like that. So called pre-animation for attack of opportunity

Before (enemy without any additional animation)

After (enemy with animated tracking of arrow) - simplest solution

I think this mechanic will be a great addition. This will incredibly enliven combat at close range.
It seems to me that it will not be so difficult to add this mechanic using a dynamic arrow as a trigger Especially when developers already have a huge number of animations

If you agree with me please support my thread up

Sounds like a nice concept.

The attack of opportunity indicator does often hide behind terrain. I would be fine with the current UI getting improved, but I do like your suggestion about the animations.

Can't say I feel particularly strongly about the issue, but I like the suggestion.

Warding Bond already uses VFX that is a waist-high circle of runes. What's WB you ask? Exactly. Why don't they use a similar waist-high indicator for Attack of Opportunity so you can actually see it?

In this case for me, it is not only in the usefulness of the indicator that is important, but also the feeling of how the battlefield reacts to my actions.
