Hello everyone! I hope that you're all as excited as I am about the full release in just 3 days! I've been testing some of the classes/playstyles I don't typically drift toward these last few days while waiting for the release date, and I had a question about Draconic Bloodline I'm hoping you all could help answer.
Do we know if we will be getting more spells for the respective dragon ancestor's element after release?
Unknown, but not in PnP rules.
I was trying the acid dragon bloodline and found that the acid spells are limited to Acid Splash and Chromatic Orb (which has turned out to be a way more awesome spell than I expected it to be). I was surprised to learn that I couldn't learn Melf's Acid Arrow, which just doesn't make sense to me at all; I can only use its Spell Scroll version. If I had chosen the fire or lightning bloodlines, that would make more sense.
The poison, lightning, and cold bloodlines seem to have the same problem, so I just wanted to know if this has already been brought up to the developers or if there was really any kind of information on this particular subject.
Thank You.
Yup, lack of suitable spells for some elements is an issue in PnP, and in Solasta too. You might consider multiclassing (wizard or circle of the land druid) to pick up acid arrow. In theory it should work.
