... Class that can just do everything they do without resting, either short or long?

Every class with any spells, (which is most classes), must either short or long rest to recover spell slots.

Fighters must rest, (short or long?), to recover Action Surge.

But outside of Arcane Trickster, (spells), is there any Rogue skill/ability/etc that has a finite number of uses prior to either a short or long rest?

If you're a Thief or Assassin you, (specific character, not your party of course), never need to rest necessarily, correct?

Larian has added special abilities to each weapon. Those abilities were 1/long rest (or something like that) during EA. If release is similar then rogue will need to rest to refresh weapon abilities.

I haven't played all the classes in D&D or thought of every way every class can be set up but I will say: Rogues are amazing. High damage, insanely good utility class with lots of proficiencies and expertise and great face class as well. I am absolutely playing Rogue Assassin first run and if you go Dark Urge, that origin has some amazing gear that further powers up the rogue too.

yea, i definatly will do a rogue(thief) shadow monk multiclass build as one of my runs, not the first but one off, likely wood elf for extra move and free stealth...

Technically in tabletop there's exhaustion rules that rarly get used to counteract this. But in bg3 you can rest so much its not really an advantage anyway.

I am going shadow monk assassin for my Durge run. It just has so much murder flavor.

yea, but that bow sneak attack, shadowstep, move and hide... it will be a murder combo... sure assassin hits harder, scary hard, but i prefer the survivalbility

Yep, your basic thief doesn't have anything that regenerates on long rests other than hit points (and hit die which they only use during short rests anyway).

Back from timeout.
