Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Technical & Gameplay Problems middle mouse button rotate camera stopped working

I have been playing for a couple of days, no issues, enjoying it. Suddenly my camera rotate button does not work with the mouse.
checked keybinds, is correct
Tried changing from direct X to Vulkan
exited game and restarted game
Tried other previous saves
exited game and shut down/restarted PC
brand new PC so no trace of EA application or saves

as I exited the game I noticed that GOG was finishing a BG3 update, while I was playing?? though I have it set to pause downloads while playing. I did verify/repair and it did not come up with anything.

nothing helped. I am at a standstill, and very sad. Am I the only one to have this issue? Any other ideas? I am thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling but I'd rather not.
