Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - General Companion leaving the party.... ?

So, im trying to do a "god" playthrough, and during a cutscene with Gale, when he told he had a dangerous secret, I kinda Mind raped him, succeded first attempt, wasnt enough, and second attempt failed, and he noticed the mind meld, then he got all butthurt and left the party , is he totally lost for rest of the game, or can one get their favor and have them rejoin team?

I don't think we know if there's any chance we might meet companions again. We couldn't in EA but I guess it could be possible in the release version. But I'd assume you've blown it with Gale this playthrough. If you do continue without reloading, then do let us know whether you happen to encounter him again later! I think we'd all be interested in the answer to your question.

I will try to remember to return and inform if I meet up with him again. Kinda sucks to have lost a wizard, I rather liked him, but I didnt feel good sacrificing artifacts for him without knowing the reason. I guess I could have waited and found out later on, I just didnt know getting caught pushing into his mind and getting caught would be so severe and punishing. lesson learned
