I had my crystal bag for quite some time, and it had some crystals in it -- and then it disappeared from my inventory. Is this a bug? I understand that there's no way to get it back, right?

Is there a limit to how many crystals, or what kind of crystals, you can put in the bag?

Thanks,
Slythe

A limit? Well, you can only put in 5 at a time - but you can exchange them without limits.

Which version are you playing? And did you search your inventory thoroughly?

Version 1.40 -- and, yes, I searched my inventory thoroughly. Bug? Or could I have done something to cause it to disappear from my inventory?

Thx,
Slythe

There was a bug (fixed in the 1.43 patch) with destroying items when using a right click and 'give to' to transfer something to an encumbered character. Maybe that was your problem?

You should be able to get the crystal bag back by downloading and swapping inventory files, as described in the topic below.
My game was started in an earlier version and saved under 1.44 when I checked this. I tested in a save in act 3, and was able to give both characters a crystal bag (though with some irregularities in how game handles resistance boosts, since it is only expecting a single bag). It also worked fine when I loaded a previous save version, saved after passing the crystal bag, and did the file swapping to get it back.

crystal bag (10KB) - inventory files

Lost Items - guide and directory of inventory files (written for DD, works for BD)

I have had the bag disappear many times after being identified - as far as I know it always came back almost immediately (or I wouldn't have identified it after the first time) - guess I was lucky.

Reality is for those who cannot cope with fantasy. Fortunately, I can cope quite well.
