Hi,

I just completed the mission to defeat Thaniel and brought him back to camp. It was a close fight. What surprised me is that after the fight ended, I was still getting damaged by the curse. I managed to rush to the edge of the cursed area and escape, but regrettably, both Astarion and Shadowheart fell to the curse and now roam the map as zombies. Since I cannot move in the zone without getting damaged, I don't know how to get them back. In addition, the final quest marker to reach Moonrise Towers is deep in this zone. How am I supposed to get there?

same here. Defeated Thaniel and his friends. Afterwards my group dies because of the shadows. Is this intend to happen? I even cannot port away or go back to the camp.

you have to defeat Ketheric before the land can heal....

when you leave towards Baldurs Gate at the end of Akt 2 there is a Cutscene where you can finally see the healing of the land. Getting Thaniel back to camp does not lift the curse on its own, talk to them and they will tell you so.
