I still get this error occasionally (but not nearly as often as before). I can reproduce the error by just staying in the Options menu for a few minutes. The error also consistently occurs when accessing Character information/skills/spells screens, although it might take more than a few minutes. I have not have the DirextX error during gameplay since the last two patches.

PSA for AMD users - the new drivers released in the past day or two (Adrenalin 23.8.2) have fixed this error when running in DX11 for me. This has dramatically improved my experience - when running in Vulcan, my 7900 XTX got absolutely terrible performance in dialogues (constant, unending stuttering) all throughout Act 2. But I couldn't run in DX 11 - the performance was great when it ran, but it would crash the game. The new AMD drivers have fixed that - no more crashing. Now that I'm able to play the game in DX 11, no more annoying stuttering in dialogues!
