Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Technical Problems act 3 crash

I just started act 3, I've taken the gold star teleporter and talked to the imp about the Ranaar. The problem is, every time I try to attack the air elementals there, the game crashes back to the desktop, no error what so ever. If anyone know's how to fix this I'd be real appreciative.

Did you reset the configuration at least once after one of the crashes? Are you shutting down all non essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting to play the game? You could backup your saved game folders and try a clean re-install of the game and patch.

I tried all of your suggestions, even a full re-install, and I patched to the latest version before I even created my first character, so that's not an issue. Right now the game is broken for me, and I refuse to restart my character, but thanks for your suggestions anyway.

OK now the way to fix this is to make sure your DK and your Hero both have a Sword in there hand when you go through the Transporter, I had this same problem and this fixed it. For some reason when I got to the Transporter map I didnt have my Bow in my Heros hand any more, and the first few times I didnt take note to this because I crashed. Its not only the DK that needs a Sword as stated in another post, but also the Hero needs one.
