Volo seems to be bugged. After rescuing him at the goblin camp, and setting him free, he told me that he will meet me at my camp. And it says just that in my quest log. During the celebration with the Tieflings he was not present. After that he still has never spawned inside of my camp. No matter what I try he just seems to not appear, yet the quest log says that he will be there. Anyone else having the same issue? I have heard that he may still be invisible, however that is not the case. I have fast traveled from the goblin camp and inside of the temple to my camp, and low and behold he is still yet to be seen. If anyone knows how to fix this or when the second hotfix will come out that addresses this issue that would great.

PS I have tried to long rest, fast traveling from different locations as was suggested on reddit, and he did indeed drink the potion of invisibility before running off.

Also having this problem, and this was after the patch we got the other day. Launch didn't have this problem.

I'm really hoping when this is fixed that we won't have to load a save from before rescuing Volo so long as we haven't left Act 1.

My Volo is also missing. Current "Rescue Volo" objective is 'We freed Volo. He'll meet us back at camp." He has never shown up in camp.

I realise it doesn't help anyone who is having the issue, but just in case it helps pin down what makes the problem happen, I had no issues with Volo despite only doing this yesterday after the first hotfix. However, while he appeared immediately he was free, he wasn't at the party the next night as he was in Early Access. I'm not sure if that was a bug or as per design, but seemed a bit odd. Though not as odd as Zevlor not being there (unless he was and I simply didn't find him).

Latest hotfix has not fixed it.


Edit: I think I found the problem.

I hadn't spoken to Volo in his cell BEFORE opening his cell and told him to reward me for freeing him, I'm testing if any combination of dialogue choices matter.

Edit 2: It seems to be important that you DON'T "go to camp" but specifically pick "long rest" after saving him. Otherwise he won't spawn even if you long rest after going to camp.
