Dear Larian, congratulations on the game! While I enjoy it a lot, I'd still like to address some issues I have with the game right now:
Sound volume is very strange, dialogues are very hard to hear, unless you tune down everything else and crank up the amp. However, that way the narrator gets way too loud from time to time.
The camera is driving me crazy. Why can't I even look straight ahead? Is everybody depressed and constantly looking at the floor? Targeting something in fights with lots of elevation differences is pretty hard and slow.
The game performance is sometimes really lackluster, I got severe frame drops from time to time.
Text messages in the upper left corner can only be seen for maybe half a second. Most of the time I have no idea who approves my actions and who doesn't.
The balacing needs some rework. There are some encounters, where a single enemy can kill my party in one or two rounds, essentially spamming action surge and doing damage beyond anything reasonable.
For a strategical cRPG there is way to less focus on character skills and way to much focus on environmental damage. Gravity is your worst enemy and best friend in the game. I'll name my next character Obi Wan, as I am constantly looking for the high ground anyway.
For a game based heavily on numbers and dice rolls I have way to less transparency. Most of the time I have no idea, why I do damage or get damage. I had a situation, where my paladin essentially one shotted a boss, there was a special sound effect playing and I have no way to really find out what has happened. Maybe a big crit, maybe a bug. Please put all numbers in the battle log.
I'm not a big fan of the NPC's. Why must every single compantion be a very special snowflake and a potentially world ending maniac? Why isn't there a single normal dude in the whole game? I think the gold standard for companions is still DA:O, compelling characters and NPC quest without everybody being a menance to society.
And why is every NPC hitting so hard an on my character? Can you make them a bit less sexually frustrated? Especially as I am already clearly romancing someone? And please implement a bro option, currently I only have the option of beeing a sex maniac myself, or being an a...e to everbody.
