I am talking about the minor NPC who gets shoved down to the pit by the goblins (Goblin Camp) and dies if you don't stop that. Recent posts and videos indicate that you could save him with Sleep in early access.

When I cast sleep on goblins, one of them is still awake and sends me to prison, and then proceeds to shove Smythin anyhow. Even if you one-shot him he stays upright and Smythin gets shoved.
If you hit him while being visible and aggro the guards onto you, Smythin disappears without thanking you and no XP is received.

Any solutions?

I just tried this too. I managed to find a spot in the rafters that didn't trigger the event of them pushing him. Used sneak attack. They were lured away from him because they somehow saw my unlinked spider hiding in the other room. I had cases where it would still trigger the part and push him down even though no where near him. Also had cases where I killed both of them, no event seemed triggered, but the spiders would move up like he was pushed while he was gone and no body.

Having trouble with this too. I ran in from the right, killed Warrior Druk in one shot, but he never went down and still pushed Smythin off the walkway. Every way I've tried results in Smythin getting pushed even when it should be impossible or him simply disappearing with no dialogue. Dead goblins using athletics skills seem like a bug.
