Heya. I just started this game and WOW it's great. Very much like Diablo2 but an improvement in many ways. There's so many quests it's unbelievable...
Anyway, here's some questions about Warriors:
1) is any weapon class "the best". I using swords now since you get the free points at the beginning...
2) how important is recuperation time vs. weapon damage? I certainly see a huge difference in swing time from 4 recuperation vs. 15.
3) What skills from outside the warrior class are good to have? I'm going pure warrior so the only really useful one I see is +5 all resists skill from Survivor.
4) Are the dodge and reflect missles skills worth taking?
Some general, non-warrior questions:
5) Is there any certain character builds that are considered exceptionally strong? Just wondering. The ability to take skills from other classes really makes character building interesting in this game.
6) I am using the "Sword from the Stone". Considering that it released a demon and the elf warned me not to...is this a bad thing? I mean, its a really nice sword, and with swirl attack it really cleans house. Not to mention it leeches mana. I would hate to give it up heheh.

hello welcome to the forum 1) there is no best weapon class it al depends on wot u want to be. but if ur a warrior the easiest weapon class to use is sword (swirl attack)
2)is this just on swords or other weapons to? if u max out on sword expertise ur recoop is 2 with any stenght sword, but crossbows have to bigger recoop compared to damage.
3)depends if u want to be battlemage or pure warrior, and for some quests u need other skills eg lockpick, pickpocket. fo battlemage freeze, hellspikes are good combined wth one of the poisen, fire waarrior damages.
4)ive never used them so i dont know, sorry.
5)battlemage is probably stongest-freeze+hellspikes+stun/poisen damage is a good one or elemental hail+fire damage but depends wot u want to be tho
6)hehe everyone (apart from main quest characters) is dead in forest now

Welcome to this forum Anyway, here's some questions about Warriors:
1) is any weapon class "the best". I using swords now since you get the free points at the beginning... [color:"yellow"] sword is your best bet for warriors - there is an abundance of really good swords to be found in the game 2) how important is recuperation time vs. weapon damage? I certainly see a huge difference in swing time from 4 recuperation vs. 15. [color:"yellow"] To the extent your weapon skill increases, recuperation time will reduce - swords generally are faster than axes or maces/hammers 3) What skills from outside the warrior class are good to have? I'm going pure warrior so the only really useful one I see is +5 all resists skill from Survivor. [color:"yellow"] resistances are better raised through enchanting items - so there you have 1st important skill, lockpick, identify, repair(!),... 4) Are the dodge and reflect missles skills worth taking? [color:"yellow"] reflect missiles could be, since you run across a lot of snipers - however, if your armor and defense skill is good, it can be skipped Some general, non-warrior questions:
5) Is there any certain character builds that are considered exceptionally strong? Just wondering. The ability to take skills from other classes really makes character building interesting in this game. [color:"yellow"] warriors have a slight advantage to some, as the swirl attack is probably the most useful of the charakters' special moves, but other than that, No, since you can build any charakter in any way you wish or need 6) I am using the "Sword from the Stone". Considering that it released a demon and the elf warned me not to...is this a bad thing? I mean, its a really nice sword, and with swirl attack it really cleans house. Not to mention it leeches mana. I would hate to give it up heheh. [color:"yellow"] Now that is a very bad idea! If you do NOT trap the demon back in the stone, it will kill almost everybody in the Dark Forest area, spoiling a number of quests in addition to you loosing all the experience points!
There are so many nice swords, some to conquer (the singing blade) some to find (the sword of chaos!), a lot to simply buy or steal. Think of the random generation of attributes in items (reload, and try again?)

I still consider this game a classless system ; therefore you can do what you want. Unless you want to restrict your char by a certain class.
The "best" weapon doesn't exist, but anyway weapons enhanced with the spell "Frost" are quite good.

Having played this game only once as a rogue(take what i say as a pinch of salt),i would say that there are only 3 skills which i would get to the max.
1)Lockpick 2)Know creature 3)Enchant weapon

i would have to say that know creature is not that important. i would take the deadly gift skill instead.

I'm playing a battle sorceress and she is pretty overpowered
I'm fighting with Swords, cuz there are hundres of good ones, plus I'm using the enhance defense skill and a couple of other warrior/thief skills... I almost put no points in mageskills but power them up via books bought in Ars
Lockpick is important, and frost comes in handy pretty often, as well as the healing skill and the other skills from this skilltree...u can power up your fighter pretty well with these
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

True but i like to know who i am dealing with,i.e strengths, weaknesses etc, actually a mage would want this skill probably more.
Deadly skill is good but 1 is needed only, scorpions are too strong.
