So I just arrived at the grove and had my first trading interaction, which was quite underwhelming tbh. It took forever to complete my first trade as it was painfully quite the opposite of the game's inventory management system. Here are my thoughts about it:
-Jumping from one character's inventory to another resets the negotiation screen. This is absurd as the game gives you 4 different inventories to manage, so in this current system the player is instead encouraged to have a hoarding mule rather than to split the load amongst the party. Same goes for gold.
- It is not possible to open character's bags/pouches while on the trading screen. This already kills half of the usefulness of stashing items there in the first place. In my case I was stashing all the extra identical weapons I was getting, but now it seems they are only good for items you do not want to sell. Bags should help you manage your inventory better, not the other way.
- While in your inventory screen, you can tag any items as "goods" or "merchandise" (idk the English word they used in game my apologies). As soon as I saw that I assumed there would be an option to "Sell all junk/merchandise/goods down the line, it seemed logical right? Well that didn't happen. Marking items you do not really want only helps you visually, which does not accomplishes that much compared to a potential "Sell all marked items" button.
I hope it isn't too late to fix all this or at least have a smoother trading interaction down the line.
