Larian and WOTC must seriously think about a Baldur's Gate MMORPG.
Why is it that whenever something is good in single player, someone always has to suggest that it should be mutated, warped, put in a blender, and served up as a live service where all the things that made it good in single player are totally removed and the setting of the original game merely serves as a shell for the typical GaaS formula?
Oh, but this time the live service crap won't be exploitative nonsense that exists merely to milk players of either a subscription fee, a battle pass, microtransactions, paid "surprise mechanics", or all of the above? This time the devs will focus on making an MMO game purely for the fun factor and totally not be swayed by every single executive-tier person aggressively and loudly ordering them to maximise revenue generating design choices?
If I had an x-button, I'd press it to doubt. Wait a minute, I do have an x-button! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
