Cutscene, he and the dopplehanger & friends attack me. Jaheira tells me to not Kill Minsc, and I don't want to, but I can't find anything else. I suspect, from the custcene that I need to find Boo. But where?

Minsc is easily CC'ed, and kited but I can't for the life of me find anything there.

I was allied with and fought with Jaheira but never let her join my group or sent her to my camp. Looks like this is required to save Minsc and Boo. ugh (even if she dies?)
Am I wrong? Did I miss something?
I told J and Harpers to wait for me to start and got on rafters started ground floor fight and she went storming in, and I could not save her, I think I saved some Harpers.
FYI: she was lying half naked on the floor.
Now every time I get to the cut scene with Minsc in chapter 3, I can't save/recruit him. He says without Jaheira to vouch for me being a friend he attacks. I cant go back to Moonrise.
I will loose like 42 hours of play if I have to go back to an Act 2 save and get her in my group/camp then do Moonrise fight with Ketheric, Rivington, Wyrm, Lower City, Grief, Sewers etc, etc all over again. That would suck.
But there's no way I will continue the game without saving Misc and Boo.
If I have to make calamari out of the emperor I will in a heartbeat. LOL
I can/will not play without knowing our miniature giant space hamster from another dimension is safe and on the right side of the fight.
You wouldn't believe how important this is to me and my wife.

O crap I went back loaded an old save and you can ask her to join, then confirm if you want, and have here join you like a pet.
Maybe its easier to keep her alive then.
You don't loose any party members or make them disapprove.
Maybe that's the key.
Cant leave the fight n go to camp, she bails and you have to pick her up again.
I'm not a Jaheira fan, but if that's what it takes to save Boo. So be it.
Maybe I'll just rage quit until they come up with another way to get around this catch 22...
Doesn't seem fair. They wait till chapter 3 to tell you that you have to go all the way back and replay 20 plus hours to fix it.
There must be another way...
Does anyone else have this problem???

I found a Pro Guide "Things To Do Before Leaving Act 2..." I only missed a couple things maybe I'll go back to Act 2.
Was not going to steal a Gith Egg though? Seems too wrong for my character style.
I like to play without spoilers unless I feel stuck and frustrated.
But since crossing over to Act 3 is a point of no return It seems good to read that article and "tie up any loose ends" before crossing the boundary.
