I have not even left the nautiloid and the full version (Hotfix #1) seems infinitely more broken than the latest version of EA I played.

1st run with HDR enabled: Every time I switch between controller/mouse interfaces in main menu, I get the HDR calibration screen - again and again and again... Seems OK on subsequent runs of the game, though.

The control scheme preference does not stick, when I select controller, the game always resets to automatic when I start the game again (and yes, I do start it with controller connected).

When I talk to Shadowheart (after freeing her) with Laezel 1st and then my main char, Shadowheart finds her artifact for the second time. Maybe she has copies of it? laugh Basically the previous dialogue with Laezel is completely ignored.

Sorting by weight is buggy (aka if I pick up a dead goblin - by far the heaviest item in my inventory - it is NOT first/last).

The controller interface has so many bugs I've lost count. No way to close equip filter/sort window - you get double close buttons (O on PS controller) that close the whole screen - how come no QA caught this? grin I wonder how PS version is going to look next month...

On the nautiloid in the final battle for the transponder, camera moves away to some random location (where nobody is) outside actual combat EVERY. DAMN. TIME. ENEMY. PLAYS! This happens 10 minutes into the game! This finally made me stop the game and wait for some major patch.

Apparently, the game natively (no Steam Input) supports DualSense, even when connected over Bluetooth - that's actually impressive and commendable. Unfortunately, this too is broken right now: Touchpad does not seem to work as it should (just opens the map, hold does not open the journal), rumble doesn't work and dead zones are HUGE and cannot be changed. Also no way to turn off the LEDs, but that's just whatever...

Interestingly, there seems to be no native DS4 support (only DualSense) and no support for PlayStation prompts when using Steam Input. So for Sony controller users, the best ways to play the game (either Steam Input or DS4Windows in Xbox emulation mode) right now unfortunately do not involve native Sony button prompts.

Also: FSR 1.0 in 2023 is a bad joke.

3 years of EA and we get a game in roughly the same shape as the initial EA version. And I thought D:OS2 release was bad...

You should have moved this to Christmas to avoid Starfield, not forward a month! See you in a month, I wonder how the PS version is going to shape up.

This is right up there with the worst PC releases of the year with TLOU and Jedi Survivor, I don't understand how Larian does not get sh*t for releasing a game in such a state.
