Hi, this is so you are aware of this. Whenever I suffer a ctd, the game resets everything, as when run for the first time. Ctd is a minor incovenience compared to having to check all of the options every time the game crashes. I have made a copy of my config files, so I just copy them, but still....

I'd be more concerned about why I was having CTDs (plural).

Well, my pc is not top of the line, so I can´t expect flawless performance. Looks and plays nicely though overall. But the config reset kills me

I have had this happen a couple of times too. I've also found and copied the relevant files so I can restore the settings should it happen again, but hopefully this will be addressed in the next patch or hotfix.

Happened to me too.
In my case the reset config meant a new config/player profile too.
The saves seem to get marked on creation with the current profile so when I tried to load them with the new one another bug hit:
The game treats all my saves as if they are a new game so:
I get all tutorial messages again.
I get a new extra Traveller's Chest in camp with dupes of all the expected items (can be abused by resetting the profile).
Some other small weird issues.
So now I am afraid to carry this invalid state and am holding off playing since yesterday until I find a fix.

Anyone know if this is still an issue post-Patch 2? I've still been avoiding sending crash reports ever since launch

Yep, it's a "feature", a very annoying one.
