Please let me just say I love the fact that I can play a gith mc who is not Lae’zel and I really do apprechiate the amount of work and detail that went into writing the environmental reactions for the different races, but I think the githyanki modifiers probably need some checking in the dialogues.
I am still in Act 1 but even so far there are many places in the game where the game blatantly disregards the fact that the character is a gith and the MC makes some comments that make me want to claw my eyes out.
For example, why can’t we read Tir’su? I found the disks about Orpheus AND the disc to help translating from the old dialect, yet my Gith needs to ask Lae’zel to read it! Is this a bug or are we actually illiterate?
Also, it seems Je Suis Kith’rak Voss needs a pair of glasses because he didn’t recognise me as a githyanki and called me a Lae’zel’s slave when I interrupted his dialogue with Lae’zel’s. I thought the githyanki had a pretty strong opinion on being considered slaves?
There are a lot of other small things like this, that I can’t remember right now, but I didn’t have this issue playing a drow for example during early access. It is very strange and would be worth re-checking it as it really destroys the RPG feel for this race.
