Hello all,
Recently I've come across an item that gave my warlock lightning charges. I have my Eldritch blast with the agonizing blast upgrade (will always add my CHA bonus to the damage dealt).
I saw the following interaction:
1. I Hex an enemy
2. Hit said enemy with Eldritch blast
3. Damage dealt = <EldritchBlastDmg + AgonizingBlastBonusDmg> + <hexDamage> + <lightningChargeDmg> + <hexDamage> + <AgonizingBlastBonusDmg>

It seems like the damage dealt by the lightning charge is being counted as an additional attack, thus proccing the damage from Hex and it also adds the agonizing blast damage given that it was tied to an Eldritch Blast cast.
This feels like a bug to me but I am not used to Lightning Charges.

Can someone confirm this?

The lightning charge bug has been around awhile. A few patches ago when the sapphire spark necklace used to add 1d4 psychic damage as well as an extra missile to magic missile spell and the poisoners robe was bugged to proc 1d4 poison on every spell not just poison. So an upcast 2nd lvl magic missile would shoot 5 darts, each hitting for 1d4+1 force plus 1d4 psychic plus 1d4 poison. The lightning charges would proc on all three damage types for each missile or 15 times giving 30? lightning charges. That would add 6 cases of 1d8 lightning damage on top of the force/psychic/poison resulting in a auto hit magic missile spell with well over 100 damage potential.

Lol. Ok, well, then this clearly seems to be a bug. Thank you for letting me know and also for that awesome case test case ahah
I will just give the lightning charges item to another character while this isn't fixed.

Thank you smile
