hi everyone, I wanted to know whether I can borrow the English version of this game from a friend, install it, then use my own German disc key and play disc to play the game...

I really hate playing games in german, the localizations are usually ridiculous...

Since the disc key will belong to the actual play disc, this should work, right?

As long as both publishers are using the same encryption key for the play disks it might work; the data on the play CD is probably different, though, so it is unlikely. It might be easier to see if your friend can start the game with your play CD first, before installing the English version on your system.

You can start the game with either disc version (German and UK) - I have both. And I can hear the English voice on English install with the German CD in there - what I don't know... how will the slide shows react?

Edit => yes, slide show works also. Voice is English with German CD
