You need to gather the components?! They were just handed to my character. Weird.
Hmm, I don't think I actually looted anything except the thing I came for. Was very cool to make Raphael's House of Hope into the House of Hope though. Worth it.

At first I thought that I needed to find all the components and was shocked, and then I saw that they were added to the inventory. Thanks for the advice!
The fight with Rafael will be much easier if Hope is released. She has a divine intervention spell that can revive allies and heal the entire party.
Also, in Raphael's house of hope, there are two very cool artifacts for a warrior that raise strength and stamina to 23
For a warrior, this is the best armor and equipment in the game.

Ah, I was mostly ignoring fighter-related equipment by that point. Apparently there's one other important quest-related item in the House that I missed -
The original condition of the deal with Raphael was the removal of the tadpole. Why did the terms of the deal change to receive the Orphic Hammer, and everyone forgot about the tadpoles?
Thanks to Larian for Baldurs Gate 3 and the reaction to player feedback
As for the terms changing, Raphael doesn't actually have the power to remove the tadpoles, his promise was he would try. Once you know about the protection over them, he has to switch to a better offer.
Minthara is the best character and she NEEDS to be recruitable if you side with the grove! Also- I support the important thread in the suggestions: Let everyone in the Party Speak
An easy way to defeat Raphael and keep Hope alive:
You need to come there no earlier than level 10, and have Shadow Heart in the party. The first action is a divine interversion on Shadow Heart. Divine fire. She dies instantly.
The second act is the same, but with Hope. She does not die, Shadow Heart took the blow.
Thus, all demons except Raphael are destroyed at the very beginning of the battle. You can safely destroy the pillars, and then Raphael.
Next, Shadow Heart is resurrected using a scroll or a skeleton in the camp
Thanks to Larian for Baldurs Gate 3 and the reaction to player feedback
I just had hope use dismissal and haste on Lae'zel to destroy pillars. The Blood of Lathander helps immensely. When we ran low on healing I had hope use her divine intervention: heal / revive to help us out.
I loved everything about this fight - the aesthetics of the House of hope, the heroic quest, the Disney villain soundtrack, the journals that confidently say "They walked right past me in Chapter 2 but now I have them where I want them . . ." and of course the build up - finally I get to smash the smug off his face.
You can actually break into her second floor and loot the unique items needed for the ritual from her room without agreeing to pay her or give her an item. She doesn't seem to care at the end of the day she is just amazed you beat Raphael.
I don't remember if I had to hunt down the skull/incense/diamond or if they are up there too.
The OST for this battle is the best and most successful in the game. Simply amazing, incredible work of the sound designer
This optional battle is harder and more epic than the game's final boss fight
Lyrics:
Lives All mortal lives Expire
Souls go to their dooms In flame Forevermore
Hell, Hell, Hell has its laws Hell, Hell, effects and the cause Curtain falls But hold your applause Squirm, squirm For now down here come the claws!
Lives! All mortal lives! Expire!
Souls go to their dooms! In flame! Forevermore!
Fools, fools, how hard you have fought Brave, brave, but its all been for naught True Souls that couldn't be bought Doomed, detected, and caught!
No more deals, it's over The final act: Your doom No more breaks, it's over This House of Hope Consumes!
Loved the lastest track from Grandmaster Raphizzle and the Infernal Five. I thought that was such a great touch considering what a ham Raphael is. The House of Hope fight is one of the better challenges; BG3 in general has some good encounters with secondary win/loss conditions which was a great relief.
I think the change to the original deal with Raphael is another artifact from the changes that occurred to the story, I was certain Raphael was going to be more of a macher in BG, and from what I've heard that would have been true of a few of the secondary actors, like Cazador and Ethel's sister (Maggie I think). I also was confused about Raphael's cambion status, it doesn't seem to be referenced but once.
