Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I have a level 4 Gold Dwarf Cleric, wearing Heavy Armor and a Safeguard Shield with Skybreaker as my weapon (Light Hammer +1) This includes "Searing Smite" The ability is on my bar but greyed out, I can't click it to use, the Concussive Smash from proficiency is available to use though.

Am I missing something? can a Cleric not use this weapons ability? I of course have both an action and a bonus action available.

Odd, it doesn't state it needs a spell slot but after a long rest it is now active. Prior to the long rest I had no spell slots available. Not sure if this is a bug or by design, the tool tip should state that is needs a spell slot if it is required.

In EA, you could use the Skybreaker also with non-caster classes, so no spellslot was necessary...
