Background: In all my EA playthroughs, I never tried to bluff my way past the Goblins (starting at Blighted Village). I would attack them, use the drop behind the windmill, kill all the drunks on the rampart, blow my way into the Temple and kill all the Goblin Leaders, free Halsin.

I lost five hours of play because in the Release version, two different things happened, unsure where it all went wrong. I did scum-save but all the ones I had had the same problem.

To wit: I bluffed my way past the Goblins in the village using the Tadpole and told them I'm a True Soul.

I still used the backdoor approach above (don't ask me why if I could stride through the camp front area unmolested). I know things were still working because I had to scum-reload as my jumps were waking up that troublesome drunk and I had to bluff my way a few times in dialog. I found the other place to jump down undetected, had Astarion do his backstab thing and blew in the wall.

The problem started after the first save scum after I enter the temple. I started my usual of sniping using ranged weapons from the rafters, but my PC got pulled down (void bulb?) by one of the Goblins and was overwhelmed on the floor.

Reload and I noticed all the Goblins stayed yellow even though it was a literal Turkey Shoot. I thought nothing of it since the reaction could have been minimized because of the ambush position I was in. I knew something was very broken when no one in the second and third chambers, including the Drow, reacted. I proved to to myself by striding up to one of leaders and repeatedly meleeing him in front of a full chamber. The other bug is none of them could be engaged in Dialog, even through the game would literally stop me from meleeing by unselecting a combat choice and showing the dialog icon when hovering over a character that I'd knocked down to single digit HPs. I also couldn't engage any of my party in dialog, even switching characters.

So, all those save scums had the same problem. Sigh. Maybe someone's seen this and have suggestions to mitigate. I'm on a brand new replay, even blew away the player profile, but I'm worried of this happening again. Thanks for any suggestions or advice.
