Larian Studios Forums Baldur's Gate III Baldur's Gate III - Story & Character Discussion Karlach companion quest help

So we did early game stuff "out of order" and I'm not sure how this will impact her (Karlach) companion quest line.


Any help would be appreciated, cursory Google search didn't provide many answers beyond what was mentioned above. This all seems like way too easy of a mistake to make to break a whole companion quest chain practically right at the start of the game.

I spoke to Dammon and saw him at Last Light, but cannot find him in Baldur's Gate city (and cannot complete Karlach's quest happily), though interestingly he shows up prior to the finale int he big rally of allies .

The bad news: Karlach is easy to break
The good and simultaneously worse news:

He does go to the gate yes (assuming you don't kill him)

I'm not sure if you can do the quest that late as I haven't tested but given how much the game assumes story wise I very much dough it
