I have a feeling, that more then half of the choices in this game lead absolutely nowhere, have no consequences and are at best a fun flavor to enjoy for 5 minutes and forget about. However, there are two instances when consequences are required, NEEDED, and i don't understand why there are none. I am talking about Wyll and Minthara, separately.
Now Wyll got a new story, new voice, no complaints here. What i do have a complaint for, is Wyll's inconsistent morale compass. Or lack of it. It could be a bug, but here is the situation - in order to progress one of the story branches, we can either defend or destroy the druid grove. And if you side with Goblins on that matter, Wyll will call you a traitor and leave the party permanently. So far so good, right? NO. If you decide to eradicate all life in the grove, all on your own, without making an alliance with Goblins - Wyll wouldn't care. He has no reaction to you murdering innocent tieflings right in front of his eyes, hell, he will stay in your party and help you and never speak about it again. It could be a bug, sure. But i replayed this moment many times, Wyll doesn't react to your PC muderhobing through the grove. UNTIL... you call in the goblins. Then his consciousness suddenly awakes.
Second, Minthara. After your sex scene, she asks you why she can no longer hear the voice of the Absolute and among different options to brush off her suspicions, you can actually reveal the artefact to her. You can plainly tell her, THIS IS a weapon she was searching for. Then she leaves, attacks you in your sleep, the scene and dialogues plays the same with no mention of the artefact. Okay, this is not my complaint. My complaints resides in the Act 2, when Minthara is judged by Ketheric Thorm. She is judged because she didn't retrieve the artefact... the very same artefact we alr shown to her. Sure, she doesn't have it, but at very least she can point at us or tell about us to the General. But she doesn't. She acts like she never saw the artefact and doesn't know how it looks. Even when you come to defend her, there is no option, no mention of the prism.
Third, but this is minor complaint - in the Underdark we can take control of Kua-Toa(probably pronounces it wrong) tribe. They never ever show up in the game again, even if you tell them to make an army in your name. Besides, shouldn't this block be able to manifest their gods through sheer belief? I didn't notice any permanent buffs after dealing with them.
