Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Missing Key Citadel Level IX

I'm near the end of level 9 of the Citadel in Act 1 and have come across some locked doors. Checking the forums, I discovered that a Lieutenant is supposed to drop a key. Well I killed him and all his mates, but I can't find a key anywhere, even using the Alt Key. Any thoughts?

Where did you kill the guards exactly? In the guard room? Or are their corpses spread? Sure, there is no NPC as a cross on your map? the lieutenant drops a key for the small locked lever room.

They all came out the guard room and attacked me in the corridoor in one large group. I collected everything they dropped, but still can't open the door and can't see any key. I know I killed the Lieut, cause I targetted him first.

Which door are you trying to open? The one for the small lever room or the exit door?

I have played several versions and always had the key - the only thing I can think of => did your key drop out of reach? (Would be terrible). In any case, this key opens the lever room and not the exit one.
