This Ability could need a rework.
Currently it is just Disguise Self with a different name. Due to this, it is unaffected by items which grant a bonus while in disguise.
Whats worse is that it is a Level 1 Spell granted as a Level 9 Ability.
In Tabletop, Infiltration Expert is not just a disguse. Its a new identiy. It should allow us to enter restricted areas because we pass as a member of the owning faction. it should give us a bonus to deception when we talk to them.
Mechanically, different Enemies should already use a "faction system" as Guards and Bandits will attack each other.
A reworked Ability could work like this:
Activate Infiltration Expert to open the Submenu
Select Race
It now asks to select an NPC
Click the NPC. It now copies the Faction of it and grants it to your Disguise.
You can now enter restricted areas. do something suspicious, like stealing, and guards will ask what you are doing. pass a deception check (with advantage) to maintain your disguise.
Another neat feature would be, if you could use the Disguise to exit combat. For example, you kill an NPC, Guards will attack you, you run out of sight, activate/deactivate your disguse, and NPCs will no longer attack you. You dont look the the murderer who just killed someone aftr all.
